Mind Without Borders App for Children

Mind Without Borders

Mind without Borders is a mobile application designed to support the health and care of children during the spread of an epidemic. The application allows children or care providers to report health information regularly, so that volunteers and psychotherapists can offer help in time. Anonymous and secure messaging connects children in different countries as pen pals through text, voice and video. Contact with family and friends is also included. The aim is to reduce anxiety and to ease the burden on health care workers.

Mind Without Borders App for Children by Chien-Chen Lai was recognized as a grand representation of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Mind Without Borders App for Children received the Silver A' Design Award in Social Design in 2021. The A' Social Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which recognizes exceptional design of community projects, social campaigns, public installations, educational programs, sustainable initiatives, healthcare solutions, inclusive design, cultural interactions and more.
